If you’re a publisher or author seeking a book publicist, send us your project details via the consultation form below. Please keep in mind that Oso Literary has a 4-month minimum and that it’s best to connect at least 6 months before a book’s publication date.
Each campaign is customized based on your book’s needs and your goals. Collaboration is key to successful campaigns, so we work closely with our clients and in tandem with their publishers.
To get started, please fill out the consultation form. If it seems like we’ll be a good fit and our schedule allows, we’ll reach out to set up a meeting. There is a $150 consultation fee.
Full Publicity Campaign - Monthly Retainer Fee $1400
We will handle every aspect of your book promotion and update you regularly on our progress. Choose the length of your publicity campaign, from four to nine months. A full publicity campaign includes:
Media coverage may include reviews, interviews, guest posts, profiles, features, events, and more
Media may include: long-lead pitching to consumer and trade magazines, national/regional/local print and online publications, radio, TV, and podcast interviews, Influential book bloggers and bookstagrammers
Consultation services including platform development and author brand enhancement
Amazon, Goodreads, and author website optimization consulting
Effective social media tactics
Media kit including press release and cover letter
Website updates related to publicity
Consultation – Flat Fee $150
We will schedule a one hour consultation to answer any questions you may have about self-promoting your book. Alyssia will also brainstorm and suggest specific tactics to employ to maximize your chance of success.
Press Release – Flat Fee $750
We will write a press release promoting your book that you can send out directly to the media. The price includes reading your book, three rounds of revisions based on your feedback, a one hour consultation, and an email pitch template.
Author Branding + Platform Assistance – Fee Varies
We will audit your online presence, including your Amazon page, social media accounts, Goodreads account, author website, and others. We will then assist with optimizing and creating a cohesive brand across platforms by providing and/or implementing the content.

The fee assures that we are both prepared for the meeting and are taking it seriously. I spend time before the meeting reviewing your book material and online presence. During the 1hr consultation we will discuss your goals, author platform, book positioning, and brainstorm publicity ideas. Even if we don’t work together, you will walk away with helpful information and ideas for your campaign.

The ideal start date for the campaign is 4 to 6 months before publication. Some campaigns can start as early as 9 months in advance. I will need time to read your book, write a press release, develop pitches, build target lists, and more.
Consider reaching out 9-12 months before publication to check my availability.

It’s not too late, however, it will be more difficult to secure publicity. Most traditional book reviewers need to receive books 3+ months in advance. We work with published titles on a case by case basis.

Unfortunately, I am not artistically gifted. We can create basic graphics for social media and website promotions. We do not design press kits, but can help you assemble the necessary information.

There are no guarantees in publicity and it can take a while to see results. There are many factors that affect media coverage. However, we work hard to increase awareness of you and your book, creating targeted media lists and individualized pitches.

Publicity services are $1250 per month. Campaigns are a minimum of 3 months. I understand that this is a significant investment and as a small business, my ultimate goal is to create lasting partnerships with the authors I work with, so please let me know how I can help earn your business.
If you are looking for other services, the rate will be based on the amount of time necessary to organize and execute the campaign.
